Large websites often split their sitemaps into multiple files β one for blog posts, one for product pages, one for category pages, and so on. While sitemap index files can reference these separately, there are times when you need everything in a single file: migrating to a new CMS, submitting a consolidated sitemap to a specific tool, or simplifying your sitemap structure.
The Merge tool handles this cleanly. Upload all your sitemap files, and it combines every URL into one unified XML sitemap. By default, it removes duplicate URLs (keeping the entry with the newest lastmod date), so you don't end up with bloated output. You can also sort the result by priority to put your most important pages first.
The merged file is a standards-compliant XML sitemap ready for submission to Google Search Console or any other search engine tool.
Upload two or more XML sitemap files using the drop zone. Configure your merge options (deduplication, sorting) and click Merge. Download the combined sitemap as a single XML file.
Yes, by default. When the same URL appears in multiple sitemaps, the tool keeps the entry with the most recent lastmod date. You can disable deduplication if you prefer to keep all entries.
Yes. Enable the Sort by priority option and the merged output will order URLs from highest to lowest priority score, making it easy to review your most important pages first.
There is no hard limit on the number of files. You can upload as many XML sitemaps as needed. The tool processes them all in your browser.
