An XML sitemap is essential for SEO, but the raw XML format isn't easy to work with when you need to analyze data, share it with a team, or import it into a spreadsheet. This converter bridges that gap by transforming your sitemap into the format you actually need.
To get started, either upload your sitemap.xml file directly or paste the URL where your sitemap is hosted (for example, https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml). If you enter just a domain name, the tool will automatically look for common sitemap paths like /sitemap.xml and /sitemap_index.xml.
Once loaded, you'll see a preview table of all URLs with their metadata β last modified date, change frequency, and priority. From there, export to CSV for spreadsheet work, JSON for developer workflows, XLS for Excel, or regenerated XML if you need a cleaned-up version of the sitemap.
The tool also handles sitemap index files automatically. If your sitemap references multiple sub-sitemaps, it fetches and combines them all into one unified dataset before export. This is particularly useful for large sites with segmented sitemaps.
Upload your sitemap.xml file or paste its URL into the Converter tool. Once loaded, click the CSV export button to download your sitemap data as a comma-separated values file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
The Converter supports four export formats: CSV (spreadsheet-compatible), JSON (structured data for developers), XLS (Microsoft Excel), and XML (regenerated sitemap). All exports preserve URL, last modified date, change frequency, and priority fields.
Yes. If you upload or fetch a sitemap index (a file that references multiple sub-sitemaps), the tool automatically fetches each sub-sitemap and combines all URLs into a single dataset for export.
The tool handles sitemaps with tens of thousands of URLs. Processing happens in your browser, so performance depends on your device. Sitemaps up to 50 MB are supported.
